ML 201 - Survey of Clinical Microbiology Lab ML 201 - Survey of Clinical Microbiology Lab This laboratory is an introduction to microbiology emphasizing the technical skills and theory behind basic microbiology procedures. Laboratory methods include the Gram stain procedure, aseptic technique, collection and handling of microbiological specimens, and isolation and identification of pathogens from the respiratory tract, urinary tract, and intestinal tract. Culture and classification of medically significant fungi are included, as well as a study of parasitology. Course
