NS 201 - Materials, Safety and Equipment Overview for Nanotechnology NS 201 - Materials, Safety and Equipment Overview for Nanotechnology This course will prepare students for advanced Nanotechnology courses by providing them with solid knowledge of Nanotechnology fundamentals in the following areas: the concept of size and scale in relation to nanotechnology; environmental, health, and safety concerns and protocols in nanotechnology; structure of matter on the Nanoscale including the concept of nanosurface and energy at the Nanoscale; classification of materials by their physical, chemical, electrical, optical, and mechanical properties; basic vacuum systems; Nano characterization and fabrication equipment and processes.
