PB 211 - Police Firearms (sworn officers only - elective) PB 211 - Police Firearms (sworn officers only - elective) Police Firearms is instruction for sworn police officers on the complete familiarization on the handling and use of their service weapon (firearm) officers are authorized to carry by their department in the performance of their duties. Use of firearms and standard safety precautions are emphasized and in addition, much emphasis is placed on when the firearm can be utilized legally and responsibly in the performance of an officer’s duties. Emphasis is on the safety of both the officer and the suspects that this use of force may be used upon. Most of the Firearms training is offsite at a range. Course
