BUS 100 — Personal Finance
This course provides a practical introduction to the concepts of personal finance. It mainly discusses personal financial planning and establishes a path towards financial freedom that is less about accumulating wealth and more about building a future tailored to individual goals which can increase happiness and reduce stress. The intent is to help students set priorities that guide their financial decisions. Topics include planning and budgeting, financial instruments and institutions consumer credit, credit bureau reports and identity theft, money matters, tax management, auto and home loans, debt, foreclosure & bankruptcy, insurance, basic investment, and mutual funds.
