ELC 116 — Electric Circuits II
This course is an expansion of Electrical Circuits on Circuit Theory introduced in ELC 115 . It includes Ohm's and Kirchhoff's Laws for analysis of series and parallel AC circuits. Series-parallel, ladder and bridge networks are analyzed using AC signals. Resonance and frequency response are included. The basic theory and operation of diodes and transistors, including dc biasing are studied. In the laboratory, the student performs electrical measurements which confirm their grasp of the theory. A circuit simulation computer software package is introduced and used as an analytical tool.
