HST 134 — Survey of African History I
This course examines the development and growth of the peoples of Africa from prehistoric times to the 19th century CE. Emphasis will be placed upon the geographic divisions of the continent, its ancient empires, the structure, nature, and significance of tribal and ethnic life, as well as the role colonialism/imperialism played.
