CSC 120 — Computing Fundamentals I

This course provides the essential foundation for the discipline of computing and a program of study in computer science, including the role of the professional. Topics include algorithm design, data abstraction, searching and sorting algorithms, and procedural programming techniques. Upon completion, students should be able to solve problems, develop algorithms, specify data types, perform sorts and searches, and use an operating system. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement. This course has been approved for transfer under the ICAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.

Prerequisites: DMA-010, DMA-020, DMA-030, DMA-040, DMA-050, DMA-045, DMA-025, MAT-121, MAT-171, MAT-003, BSP-4003
