Total: 29.0 The Equine Studies program is designed to prepare students for a variety of professions in the horse industry or transfer to a higher institution. Students preparing for immediate entry into a horse career will find practical hands-on courses designed to assist them in achieving their occupational goals. To complete an Equine Studies Associate of Science degree, students must: 1. Complete general education requirements 2. Complete equine studies core courses (17 units) 3.
