Improve achievement of campus Student Learning Outcomes #2, 3and 6: Students will demonstrate critical thinking; Students will identify, evaluate and apply information; Students will demonstrate skills in relationships using teamwork and collaboration. Respond to innovation and advancements in the forensics field as it relates to crime scene investigations. Provide pathways for immediate and long-term, lucrative employment for students. Students will work with foresters, silviculturists, fuels managers, timber-sale preparers, Students completing this certificate will meet the requirements to gain employment as a Forestry or Fuels Technician (GS-4) for the US Forest Service, and the requirements to work as a field technician for local, state or federal agencies, private forest resource companies, and non-profits.
