Licensed Vocational Nursing - Certificate of Achievement
and certificate options prepare the students to take the State Board of Vocational Nursing Licensing Exam (NCLEX-PN) and upon passing the exam apply for a state license as a vocational nurse. The FRC Vocational Nursing Program averages 20 hours per week for 4 semesters, with 8 week of clinical instruction at a major hospital during each of 2 summers. FRC accepts 30 students every two years at its Feather River Campus and, in alternating years, at the campus at Mayers memorial hospital in Fall River Mills. Applications are accepted in January of the year of the beginning of the program in August.
