Teaching/Coaching - Certificate of Specialization Art History Restricted Elective Requirements 3.0 Select 3 units from below. Students will study child development in the context of the family and the community as well as best practices for teaching and learning. Observation and participation opportunities allow students to apply their emerging skills under the supervision of select teachers and mentors in both public and private settings, including the Child Development Center on campus. The curriculum emphasizes general education courses that will assist the student in undertaking upper-level coursework at a university, while enhancing their admissions profile and increasing their chances of acceptance to a physical education program at a four-year college or university.
