AHPT225 — Seminar and Project in Physical Therapist Assisting

This concentrated course integrates skills and techniques from previous clinical experiences and from the coursework presented throughout the PTA program. It focuses on presentation of comprehensive treatment plans utilizing all treatment skills and techniques learned during the previous semesters. The students will be expected to prepare and present a case study that will follow the patient through the continuum of care. Students will be required to relate sociological, physical, and psychological aspects of illness and injury to their projects. Preparation for the state’s licensure exam is covered in this course, including the Practice Exam and Assessment Tool (PEAT) and/or Scorebuilders. Students will also develop a professional portfolio providing evidence of competency, self-assessment and career goals. (Summer Semester) Course Learning
