This course presents the fundamentals of stock packing for the backcountry as an integral part of a backcountry management plan. Topics include animal behavior and herd dynamics, care and feeding of stock, tack, saddling, and riding, types of pack saddles, packing resources, pack regulations, and sustainable stock practices.
