This course presents the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to provide high quality holistic nursing care for the geriatric patient as well as other vulnerable populations in the local and rural communities. The safe application of the nursing process in community based, patient-centered, interdisciplinary care environments is emphasized in order to promote patients well-being in regards to common acute and chronic health issues, including end-of-life and palliative care.
