This course builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in NRSG 232 , and places them in the context of patient-centered care. Social, cultural, ethical, rural and legal issues, end-of-life and palliative care across diverse adult populations are introduced. Health promotion and prevention throughout the adult lifespan, with specific focus on the geriatric patient, is emphasized. Normal aging, health alterations associated with aging, and their implications are addressed. (Fall and Spring Semesters) Course Learning
