FEMA 205 — Fundamentals of Management and Support Coordination of Federal Disaster Operations

(formerly FEM 205) Introduces the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the National Preparedness Goal as guiding elements in development of emergency management policy and practice at all governmental levels and in the community. Familiarizes students with the six main component Frameworks of the National Preparedness System. Explores fundamental incident management knowledge necessary for providing support to disaster operations, including an overview of the FEMA Qualification System (FQS) and its applications.
