MATH 120 — Statistics

MATH 120 (formerly MA 206) Introduces non-calculus statistics. Topics include descriptive analysis and treatment of data, probability, statistical inference, linear regression and correlation, and chi-square tests and non-parametric tests. Students can only receive credit for one of the following: MATH 120 or MATH 120A or MATH 127 . MATH 120A (formerly MA 206A) Combines an introductory non-calculus statistics course with topics from Algebra. Topics of Algebra include linear equations and inequalities, and graphing and modeling functions. Topics of Statistics include descriptive analysis and treatment of data, probability, statistical inference, linear regression and correlation, chi-square tests, and non-parametric tests. Students can only receive credit for one of the following: MATH 120 or MATH 120A or MATH 127 .
