SURG 130 — Introduction to Surgical Technology
(formerly ST 101) Provides an overview of the functions of the surgical technologist in the perioperative environment. Integrates the fundamental principles and protocols of microbiology, sterile technique, pharmacology, medication calculations, anesthesia, ethical and legal considerations, mindfulness, cultural competence and inclusion, patient care concepts, all-hazards preparation, and teamwork.
