Explores contemporary voices of Indigenous women authors and artists in the Americas as expressed in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, drama, and oral traditions. Focuses on themes relevant to Indigenous women and examines the trends and movements within Indigenous peoples and women's literary history. Examines themes relevant to Indigenous women such as racial and gender oppression, reservation life, acculturation, and their sociopolitical activism in the Americas.
