Study of art and theory from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. Focus on European and American modern and contemporary art while considering other regions of the world. Examination of the historical, social, and cultural contexts of artistic developments. Application of various interpretive models to examine modern and contemporary art. Prerequisites: None.
