In-depth review of standard tools including identification, safe operating, inspection, and manufacturer guidelines. Routine cutting, shaping and smoothing of materials with emphasis on measuring and layout accuracy in precision bench skills and field operations. Review of project drawings to promote development of job planning, preparation, and math skills. Shop safety during bench layout, drill press, band saw, and grinder operation.
