SUR260 — Surgical Technology Clinical Practicum
Provides continued study and extensive clinical experience in all surgical specialties. Emphasis is on clinical practice thereby further enhancing theoretical and practical knowledge of select procedures, surgical instrumentation, supplies and equipment. The scrub and circulating roles of the surgical technologist including aseptic technique and case preparation for select surgical procedures continue to be emphasized. Prerequisite(s): SUR 135 , SUR 150 , SUR 240 , and SUR 245 Co-requisite(s) SUR 210 Recitation/Laboratory Hours: 24 hours per week Total Hours: 24 hours per week
