DENT 119 — Dental Anatomy
This course focuses on dentition and dental morphology. Basic terminology for understanding tooth morphology is reviewed by the instructor. Anatomic design and tooth numbering systems are emphasized as well as eruption stages, occlusion, terminology used to describe the tissues of the teeth, and basic introduction to the periodontium. Students successfully completing this course will be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of dental anatomy and communicate using appropriate dental terminology as it relates to the practice of dentistry.
