DENT 160 — Periodontology I
An introduction to the science and management of periodontal diseases. Emphasis on the etiology and classification of the disease, along with an overview of the anatomy and histology of periodontal structures and oral biofilms. The dental hygienist's role in the recognition and prevention of the disease will be explored. This course will correlate theory with clinical activities in DENT 250 , DENT 252 and DENT 281 .
