DENT 175 — Pharmacology for the Dental Hygienst
Dental hygienists impact the lives of others as health care practitioners. Having a solid knowledge base in all areas of patient care is essential for the safety and efficacy of patient treatment that will allow for personal and professional growth well into a dental hygienist's future. This course is designed to provide an extensive framework of knowledge about different medications, their biochemical activity, appropriate use, interactions with other drugs, interactions with systemic conditions, alternative use, historical significance, and governance. By successfully completing this course, the dental hygienist will build a strong foundation toward giving the upmost quality in patient care.
