BIOL 260 — Cell Biology

Cell Biology is the study of the structure and function of the cells. Topics covered in this course include membrane structure, function, transport, and trafficking, the cytoskeleton, how cells move, the generation of energy and the breakdown of macromolecules as well as the integration of cells into tissues. We will also cover important cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation, signal transduction and cancer cell biology. In this lab and lecture course, students will conduct research experiments that bring theory to practice.
