BIOB 160 - Principles of Living Systems BIOB 160 - Principles of Living Systems 3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) An introductory study of cell activities emphasizing chemistry, structure and functions common to cells. Topics include organelles, cell division, water relationships, nutrients, respiration, photosynthesis, genetics, and protein synthesis. The laboratory portion of this class will be used to illustrate concepts addressed in lecture; and to acquaint students with the scientific method and common laboratory techniques plus drawing conclusions from laboratory obtained data. Satisfies Physical & Life Science core. Course generally 2nd semester.
