CHMY 361 - Elements of Physical Chemistry CHMY 361 - Elements of Physical Chemistry 3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec) This course is a survey of topics covered in a traditional two-year physical chemistry sequence (e.g. CHMY 371/372). These topics include concepts of quantized energy, spectroscopic principles and electromagnetic radiation applied to molecular structure; the Laws of Thermodynamics, and the statistical nature of change; basics of transport, chemical kinetics, rate laws and nuclear decay processes. Additional topics may include diffusion, sedimentation, and particle nucleation. Prerequisite(s): M 171 , CHMY 143
