CHMY373 — Physical Chemistry - Kinetics & Thermodynamics
CHMY 373 - Physical Chemistry - Kinetics & Thermodynamics CHMY 373 - Physical Chemistry - Kinetics & Thermodynamics 3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) The second semester of a two-semester sequence in physical chemistry, intended for advanced science and engineering majors. Thermodynamic quantities and processes such as internal energy, entropy, and free energy and introduced conceptually and mathematically, and then applied to the equilibria of physical and chemical systems. Chemical kinetics is also discussed. Others topics may include statistical thermodynamics (to build from the first semester), and surface chemistry. Course generally 2nd semester.
