ECIV 484 - Reinforced Concrete Design ECIV 484 - Reinforced Concrete Design 3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This course introduces the fundamental principles and practices of reinforced concrete design in accordance with current ACI (American Concrete Institute) standards. Topics include the behavior of materials, load paths, and the design of structural elements such as beams (flexure and shear), one-way and two-way slabs, short and slender columns, and isolated footings. The course also covers development length, anchorage, and serviceability requirements.
