EGEN 101 - Introduction Engineering Calculations & Problem Solving EGEN 101 - Introduction Engineering Calculations & Problem Solving 3 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec., 3 Lab) This course focuses on developing problem solving and calculation skills that students need to succeed in their engineering fundamental courses and career. Engineering fundamentals, such as force, acceleration, density, temperature, pressure, and energy, are introduced to expose students to various problem-solving strategies. Students are taught how to solve and communicate engineering problems and leverage computer software such as spreadsheets, graphics programs, and database programs. In addition, an introduction to engineering design is presented and a small group-based design project completed. Course generally both semesters.
