EMAT 472 - Materials Engineering & Design EMAT 472 - Materials Engineering & Design 2 Credits (Hrs. 2 lec) Students apply principles learned to the selection of materials and fabrication methods for the manufacture of components. Several case studies are drawn from engineering alloys, ceramics, polymers, composites, and natural materials. The course culminates in a design report, which is reviewed by the instructor during the semester and submitted by the student as a final design document prior to semester’s end.
