EWLD 440 - Design of Welded Connections EWLD 440 - Design of Welded Connections 2 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec.) A review of material and geometric properties important to welded connections, the influence of welding processes on weld metal mechanical properties, fundamental analysis of static and dynamic stress, selection of materials, fillers, joint design and welding processes in welding design, welding procedures to reduce distortion and residual stress, application and interpretation of welding symbols, codes and NDE methods during design and fabrication. Course generally 2nd semester.
