GEO 501 - Montana Geology GEO 501 - Montana Geology 2 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec.) This course reviews the geology of Montana, from the Precambrian to the present day. Assignments place an emphasis on the interpretation of geologic maps. Lecture material is enhanced with outside readings and field trips. Students who take this course will have a much better understanding of the geology of Montana and the surrounding region, which has practical benefits for professionals in any of the “geo” fields. Course generally 1st semester.
