GEOP 402 - Introduction to Applied Geophysics GEOP 402 - Introduction to Applied Geophysics 3 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec. 3 lab) The basics of common geophysical methods, seismic refraction, seismic reflection, electrical resistivity, gravity, and magnetic, will be covered. Emphasis will be on the fundamental theory of measurement of the physical properties of the subsurface earth material, instrumentation, field data collection, processing and interpretation for applications in earth science and engineering. Course generally 1st semester.
