GEOP 409 - Seismic Applications in Subsurface Characterization GEOP 409 - Seismic Applications in Subsurface Characterization 3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This course will cover principles and applications of seismic refraction, reflection, and micro-seismic methods, instrumentation, and field data collection, processing and interpretation. Emphasis will be on seismic instruments, data collection, and software driven data processing and applications to problems associated with geo-technical, civil, mining and mining safety, hydro-fracturing for oil recovery, and environmental science and engineering.
