MIN 521 - Mine Design and Planning MIN 521 - Mine Design and Planning 3 credits (Hrs: 3 Lec.) This course will teach students to understand the mine design and planning process including mining method selection, optimization, and scheduling. It will introduce you to trade-off studies comparing various underground mining methods along with surface and underground trade-off or transition analysis. The fundamentals of design for each mining method will be reviewed along with applications of modern technology where appropriate. Prerequisite(s): Graduate Standing or Consent of Instructor
