NRSG 308 - Nursing for Healthy Aging NRSG 308 - Nursing for Healthy Aging 3 credits (Hrs: 2 Lec, 1 Lab) The intent of this course is to introduce the students to the skill and knowledge needed to provide nursing care to aging clients. Topics include: current trends (including legal and ethical issues) in gerontological nursing, developmental stages and transitions associated with aging, expected age-related physiological changes and assessment findings, recognition and management of acute and chronic illnesses that commonly occur in the older adult population, health promotion and end-of-life issues and care.
