EGS 150 - Latino/a Histories: Race, Migration, and Resistance EGS 150 - Latino/a Histories: Race, Migration, and Resistance 5 Credits This course explores the historical presence of Latin@s in what is now called the United States of America and how these diverse communities were/are shaped by colonialism, migration, and hemispheric paradigms of race. We examine the various cultural, artistic, and political forms of resistance deployed by Latin@ communities in critique of their systematic marginalization in the Americas. Topics include immigration, gender, labor, protest art, language, and education.
