GEOG 210 - Maps and Geographic Information Sys GEOG 210 - Maps and Geographic Information Sys 5 Credits GEOG 210 introduces students to the basic principles and concepts of cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Teaches students how to identify, read and use a variety of maps, including traditional paper maps and computer-generated maps. Covers the concepts of geographic relational databases used by GIS and how to store and manipulate geographic data. Students will learn to produce various thematic maps from existing data using ESRI GIS software.
