Emphasis is placed on becoming fluent in industry terminology and operations via a focus on logistical support, shibboleth, and cost/profit results. The course focuses on the unique operational functions of this singular component of event planning (i.e. the non-profit sector) while accepting that students enrolled in the course will likely not be event management professionals, but will need to work with event professionals in their career pathways.
