Add to HCC Favorites Leadership and Program Administration in Early Care and Educational Settings is a course for those who aspire to hold administrative and leadership roles in Family Child Care, Out of School Time Care, and Center-based programs. Students will explore and apply current research on effective leadership in the field to the work of EEC program administration and leadership. This course will teach students to supervise and support staff, understand how to navigate and implement laws and regulations, maintain records and fiscal responsibilities, evaluate program effectiveness, build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, and utilize available resources in a strengths-based approach to quality improvement and family support in relation to the unique needs of the community and staff they serve. Students will have the opportunity to shadow or interview a licensed EEC program director to learn how the concepts from the course are applied in the field.
