BIO 130 — Plants and Society

The course introduces students to the world of plants; their vital role in human life and in human society as sources of food, medicine, fiber, fuel, technology and the environment. Students will study plant domestication and social implications associated with the biological and technical aspects of crop production including historical developments and gobal environmental issues.
