Linear material balances for recycle processes. First law of thermodynamics and the use of energy balances. Reactionstoichiometry and energetics. A laboratory component brings above concepts to a process system; a computational laboratory component emphasizes modeling of system dynamics for steady, transient, pure component, mixture, and reactive systems.
