ESL 31 — Readings in Adv Academic ESL
Enhances ESL students’ comprehension and analysis of expository and literary texts. Students learn to identify and discuss an author’s point of view, main ideas and supporting evidence, as well as rhetorical styles, literary devices and genres. Building on their linguistic skills, students learn to effectively summarize and critically respond to interdisciplinary and literary academic reading material both orally and in writing.
