HLT218 — Health Disparities in the U.S.
This course introduces students to the concepts of health equity and health disparities. The course uses the lens of social justice as the broad overview of health disparities in the United States is explored. The course examines relevant historical issues, theories, and empirical data, emphasizing critical analysis and application of knowledge. Students gain a better understanding of research on health disparities and interventions to promote health equity.
