The degree English Option to an Associate in the Arts program intended for students who want to broaden and deepen their understanding of literature and develop their own writing skills for professional and scholarly purposes, as well as for personal growth. Through the study of English-rhetoric, academic writing and research, immersion in and analysis of literature-graduates will be able to advance to four-year programs in English, Writing, Creative Writing, Communications, Literature, Media Studies, or Journalism as well as any other majors in which writing skills and an appreciation of literature are required.
