Studio Arts A.F.A.
The two-year Associate in Fine Arts-Studio Arts (AFA) degree program provides students with a solid foundation in the visual arts. HCCC studio arts majors take a series of courses in drawing, design, color theory and art history as well as electives in other studio disciplines. In the final semester of study, students learn how to present their portfolios to four-year colleges and universities and potential employers. In addition, AFA students take general education courses in order to develop important skills in communications, research and computer technology.
