BIOL148 — Medical General Biology I
This course is the first term of a two-term medical general biology sequence designed to meet requirements for students interested in a pre-med program. Topics include the scientific method, biological chemistry, the cell, photosynthesis, cellular respiration and genetics (both classical and molecular). Biomedical application of concepts and case studies are emphasized. Laboratory exercises correlate to lecture topics. High school level biology preparation is recommended.
