CIVL220 — Architectural Design III
In this course, students will produce a set of architectural schematic drawings typical of those incorporated in the schematic design phase at an architectural firm. The emphasis will be placed on non-residential construction methods with comparison to residential techniques, as appropriate. Students will prepare these drawings using Rhino and some Revit, which is prevalent in the production of these documents in the workplace today. In addition, students will learn about industry standards for the preparation of these documents to theoretically be moved into a design development stage. NOTE: Students should contact the department to determine which Pre-requisite(s): CIVL 102 Architectural Fundamentals of Design I and CIVL 103 Architectural Fundamentals of Design II and CIVL 106 Digital Constructs and Visualization I Co-requisite(s): CIVL 206 Digital Constructs and Visualization II Terms all Distance Learning: No Lecture: 3 Lab: 6
